Chalk For Cleaning / Polishing Silver Coins / Silver

Chalk for cleaning or rubbing silver coins / silver objects. Packed in a handy jar.

Instructions for use:

A. Take some chalk and mix it with a little water. Rub the silver coin or object between your thumb and forefinger with a cotton swab or soft cloth such as a woollen cloth / microfiber cloth. Do this carefully. Do not do this with very thin or fragile old coins / objects. Perfect for removing the black tarnish (sulphur tarnish) from the silver coin or object. If stopped in time it will not remove the entire patina. Does not scratch.

B. Take some chalk and mix it with methylated spirit to make a thick paste. Rub the silver coin or object with a cotton swab or soft cloth such as a woollen cloth / microfibre cloth. Do this carefully. Do not do this with very thin or fragile old coins / objects. Perfect for removing black deposits (sulphur deposits) but also more stubborn dirt or iron rudder from the coin or silver object. If stopped in time it will not remove the entire patina. Does not scratch.
